| Pet Watching Most commonly referred to as pet sitting. However, we prefer to think of it as more than just "baby sitting" your pet(s). More like a day care or preschool type of service. At Guardian Angel, we not only tend to your animal's basic needs, but also strive to meet their emotional and physical needs as well. The sessions are based on the animal`s needs. Most animals want us forever, but are content with an hour of contact per visit. A few require more and even fewer require less time. Only in a few instances have the visits ranged between fifteen and forty-five minutes. Generally, most pets want out right away and then they are ready to be fed, and are hand fed if they refuse to eat because they are shy or pouting etc.. Bowls are cleaned and they are given fresh water. Exercise time, can consist of fifteen to forty-five minute walk/run, and play time in or outside. All dogs taken on walks are reinforced with obedience commands. All animals are given stimulus to play, learn new commands, and interact with their pet caregiver. There are no extra fees for this, no Ala Carte charges, your animal`s well-being is first and foremost. Along with the animal care, of course, comes the inside and outside of the house security and household chores; getting the mail, newspapers, taking out and in of trash containers, rotation of lights, curtains, blinds, shades, watering plants etc. We make detailed notes on all the happenings of the pet(s) and house. The notes are made with each visit. In a nut shell we watch your animals behavior and habits. We encourage them to play, exercise, eat and learn new commands. |
| During the interview process we discuss your pet in depth. Some behavioral and training difficulties can be overcome while we are pet watching the animal, also at no extra charge. I have assisted many owners with behavioral and training problems. On many of the instances the concerns were taken care of by the end of the pet watching assignment and/or the owner(s) can take over and continue the training. Occasionally, additional time needs to be scheduled, to continue the training and or consulting. Guardian Angel`s goal is to be an elite service that aids in the enhancement of the animal's happiness and health. Fees are based on time, number, species of animals, plus mileage. |
| Pet Consulting This service feature covers a wide variety of areas as well as species of animals. Areas consisting of but not limited to: behavioral, nutritional, animal health, training, breeding, and socializing questions to pre-purchase and pre-adoption sessions. I have assisted owners with their veterinarian`s recommended treatments and preparing them for the need`s of the veterinarian so that he/she might be better able to serve them. Most consulting is done in person, however, for existing clients some is permitted over the phone as long as we are familiar with the animal. This service fee is based on time and mileage. |
| Pet Walking Some animals need to be outdoors more often and have human interaction, rather than waiting 8 - 12 hours for owners to attend to them after work. AM is generally for morning walks/runs and PM can consist on afternoon or evening walks/runs. Evening walks must be in a safe, secure, and well-lighted area. The pet(s) are evaluated during the initial visit for length and speed of the exercise. As the pet`s needs increase or decrease the walks/runs are adjusted accordingly. The fee is based on mileage and time. |
| Pet Exercise Exercise is as important to animals as it is to humans. Therefore, animals are analyzed before starting an exercise program. Conditioning of the animal is also observed. There may be a need for weight loss, gain or increase in muscle tone. A t this point nutrition is also examined. It is included in the pet watching assignment, or can be scheduled. Generally, scheduled exercise is taking the pet for a run, walk, or some type of conditioning program workout. Pet exercise can also be in combination with puppy and dog training. When things are made fun, easy and rewarding to an animal, they learn more quickly because they enjoy what they are doing. Fees are based on time and mileage. |
| Pet Training A wide variety of training services are available. From behavioral, puppy training, obedience, socializing, introduction to household and other pets, hunting skills, barrel racing, pole bending, breaking of colts, and manners taught to horses (ground and riding) to name a few. Most training is conducted on site, either at owners location or place where competing. Fees are based on time and mileage. |
| Pet Transportation Is usually for taking pet`s to the groomer`s or veterinarians for their appointments. The owner must make arrangements with the provider of the service for payment of fees. The fees may be paid in advance or the pet watcher will bring to the ownersthe request for payment for services rendered. Some pet owners have to work extended shifts and would like to see their pets on a break (this is for local transport only). We will also run pet related errands, ie. pet store and feed stores. Park visits are also a part of transportation and exercise. Fees are based on mileage and time taken for transportation. |
| Pet ID Tag All animals in our care that wear collars or halters are issued an ID tag without charge as a standard feature to our current clients. Our business name & phone number is on the front of the tag; the animal's ID number, home address, owner's pager number and our pager number is on the back Owners may leave the tag on the pet after the assignment if they like. If we are notified that an animal has been found, we will contact the owner an if necessary, pick up the animal. There is no charge unless the owner requests us to retrieve the pet. |
| Pet ID Photos Another feature to our service, is that we take ID pictures of any pets in our care. These photos are used as a precaution, in case there is ever a need for a photo of the animal. These needs change range from lost or stolen pets to proof of the pet. We also send via e-mail a copy of the photo(s) to the owners. Photos may be placed on our web site, but no reference is made to the owner in order to secure their privacy and protect their pets. |
